Back

After being gone for a three-week vacation, I’m back and all caught up on the current news. I’m a little irritated when I watch any news TV station or walk into any store with magazines and there is a constant theme of: The most historical president inauguration. I guess it depends on your perspective of “historical.” I’ll tell you mine.

The reason this is such an historical event is because this is the first time that our country has elected a president without even knowing who he is. And when interesting events started surfacing, for example, all of Obama’s questionable ties to known terrorists, socialists, extremists, elitists, etc. we didn’t even care. And why didn’t we care? Well, let’s be frank. A major component is that he’s black and somehow by overlooking all of these characteristics that would immediately discredit a conservative politician, we convince ourselves that we’re not biased to race or religion.

Now we are starting to see the fruits of our labors. Has anyone noticed the cabinet that Obama is selecting? Anyone know who Carol M. Browner is? She is now Obama’s Global Climate Czar. What was she up to before being appointed to a pointless position in a pointless agency? She was a member of a socialist group that favors a one-world government. Now I will give Obama credit for being consistent in his cabinet appointees – they’re all for destroying everything our country was founded upon.

And who knows Henry Rivera? He is Obama’s transition chief for the Federal Communications Commission. What does this mean? Anybody heard of the Fairness Doctrine? First of all, the name is blatantly misleading. A better name would be the Censorship Doctrine. Basically it states that for every conservative-based radio talk show program, the radio station would be required to put on a liberal-based show at the station’s expense. What does this mean? Well, we’re at the point now that we can say without any doubt that the liberals have overtaken the media. Newspapers, magazines, television, Hollywood – it’s all blatantly anti-conservative. And anybody who disagrees is blind and arrogant. So the only source that conservatives have to get out their voice is talk radio – and it’s a very strong source. Millions of people listen to talk radio because they want to receive information from a source that’s not polluted with liberal agendas.
The Democrats are very aware of the power of talk radio and so they will soon be working on bringing back the “Fairness” Doctrine. Obama is as far left as they go and although he has not openly supported the doctrine, his overall transition chief, John Podesta, is a huge proponent. And I want to still give Obama credit for his consistency, and he has consistently voted left, so the obvious answer is he will also be in support of this doctrine. Now once this doctrine is passed, our right to free speech will be completely obliterated. The Democrats will have control of every house of Congress, all stems of the media, and the soon-to-be turned liberal Supreme Court. If this happens, we will see a new chapter in American history that our Founding Fathers sought to prevent – complete government control.

Now aware of the implications of the Fairness Doctrine, what can we do? Well for starters, we better write to our representatives and let them know that they better not support the doctrine. Oh, and I guess before that we have to believe that the doctrine is absolutely detrimental to our country. IF you don’t believe that yet, move to France. But if you do believe it, then get out there and put up a fight!
