So Gian has been giving me some grief for not updating this blog this last week. Well, Gian, here are the things I'm thinking about right now:
1. I'm freaking out that the Democrats are going to steal away the Senate election and create a filibuster-proof Congress. We're seeing this happen in Georgia and Minnesota. If the Republicans end up losing their seats in those two states as well as Alaska (which is still up for grabs), that will give the Democrats a 60-member Senate. With power in the House as well as a bleeding liberal president-elect, our country is headed down a road that it has never before traveled. HELP!
2. I have to give Obama credit for one thing: he wants a college football playoff instead of the BCS system. That's the first intelligent thing I've heard him say. He said that he's going to push his weight around in order to bring about this change. Now having complimented him, I have to cancel that out by saying: "who the freak do you think you are?" Since when does the president have authority to decide how a sport should be set up?
3. I'm still all up in arms that this presidential election came down to two things: race and pop culture. Unfortunately, Obama's opponent is the epitome of uncool - white and old. You know, it's funny that a black person, or anybody for that reason, can say that they voted for Obama because he's black. And many people said that was the determining factor in their vote. But let me just throw this out there....I voted for McCain because he's white. "You racist bigot!" Yes, that's exactly the kind of response I'd expect to hear, followed by a series of threats, mysterious packages mailed to my house, and being the butt of jokes in rap songs.
4. I can't stand the U of U. Just can't stand them. I've been working really hard this week to read my scriptures and be a good guy so that God will hear my prayers and help the Cougars to not screw up tomorrow. We'll see how well I did.

I wish Utah played BYU every weekend so I could have some leverage. I wish I'd thought of that on Monday so I could have threatened you with it all week....
