So I saw a story on CNN tonight about the gay activist demonstrations throughout the country today. Funny, for some reason many of them are being held at LDS churches and temples. CNN reported that the LDS church was too involved in Proposition 8 and that when religion becomes too involved in a political matter, it can be a problem. Now all of you should already be well aware of my position on this matter, but I just have to add a couple tidbits after today's activities.
What the freak?! I mean, how does anybody in their right mind believe that these "demonstrations" by gay rights activists against the LDS church are legit? How is this even being allowed? It all goes back to the fact (but most people will deny it) that "free speech" is only free if it falls in line with liberal philosophies. Can you imagine the uproar that would follow if LDS members started demonstrating against homosexuals? My gosh! We'd all be chased away with horses and muskets again.
It is going to be harder and harder for good people to stand for values and principles, not only in this country, but all across the world. Whether people like to hear it or not, there is still such a good thing as good and bad. It's very simple. Right and wrong. But our society is so good at deceiving us into believing that life is much more complicated than right and wrong. Everything now is considered to be "too complex." This last month has been a testament at how those who support righteousness will be prosecuted. You better believe the goats are being separated from the sheep. So for all those who still hold to the God-given values that our country was built on - keep holding on and don't give in. And to all you "progressives" out there - BRING IT ON!!!

Heaven forbid that a church encourage political activity.
From now on, we'll support political apathy.
